Город — мануфактуру, деревня — хлеб (Town: Manufactured Goods; Village: Bread)
A worker in a cap holds up a flower-patterned bolt of cloth beside stacked fabric, buttons and thread; a peasant woman in a headscarf gestures to three sacks of grain. The slogan splits the exchange into two halves, 'Town: manufactured goods' and 'Village: bread'. Two smiling ordinary people stand in for the whole town and the whole countryside, the plain-folks tell.
