We Serve the People (English poster distributed in Asia)
A large drawing of a helmeted soldier with a rifle slung over his shoulder looks past the viewer against a cloudy yellow-and-black sky. The slogan 'WE SERVE the people' fills the right side. The sheet promotes a soldiers-as-servants-of-the-public message. The tell is glittering-generalities: 'serve the people' is a virtue-word slogan with no programme attached, and the uniform lends the soldier the credit of public service (transfer).
