Adult Education Week (Tamil and English poster distributed in Malaya)
A Malayan adult-education poster. A mixed group of men and women in Malay, Chinese and Indian dress, carrying books, walk along a winding road toward a rising sun and a signpost reading 'Success'; the text urges readers to enroll in adult education for 'a better Malaya'. The tell is glittering-generalities: 'success' and 'a better Malaya' are virtue words with no stated course, cost or outcome.
