Answering the Call, Australian Air Detachment poster (Vietnamese poster distributed in Saigon)
A photo sheet headed 'Huong ung loi keu goi' (Answering the call) on Australian air transport crew arriving in South Vietnam. Photographs show airmen marching, a woman placing a garland on the commander, handshakes with South Vietnamese and Australian officers, a reception at Tan Son Nhut and Caribou aircraft on the apron. The text says Australia sent personnel and three, later six, Caribou transports at the Republic of Vietnam's request. The tell is bandwagon: an allied country's arrival is shown as proof of widening support.
