Chitra Katha photo poster No. 12: Oak Ridge atomic energy for peace (Bengali photo poster distributed in Dacca)
A Bengali photo sheet on the Oak Ridge atomic research centre in Tennessee. Photographs show the 'American Museum of Atomic Energy', foreign scientists training in radioisotope use, isotopes shipped to 57 countries, a reactor being lowered into a shaft, and radioisotopes used in cancer treatment and plant research. The tell is glittering-generalities and card-stacking: atomic energy is presented through peaceful, medical and educational uses only.
