Sovetskie soldaty! Russian-language appeal to Soviet troops, Budapest 1956
A hand-lettered Russian sheet tacked to a Budapest board addresses 'Soviet soldiers' directly: do not shoot unarmed people, because 'traitors of the homeland' misled you, and Hungarian workers and youth ask only for freedom and more bread. The sheet puts the blame for the soldiers' presence on unnamed 'traitors', not on the soldiers themselves.
