Content note: Photographs, as issued, of dead soldiers left on a battlefield and of a wounded prisoner, alongside a soldier holding a small child. This object is shown as it was published. Why
Chiến thắng Long-Phi 955 của Sư-đoàn 9 Bộ-binh (The 955th Long Phi Victory by the 9th Infantry Division)
A Vietnamese photo sheet (code SP-1014) reports that the Army of the Republic of Vietnam's 9th Division operation Long Phi 955, 10 to 12 February 1966 in Kien Binh district, Kien Giang, scattered two Viet Cong battalions, with 137 bodies left, 150 carried away, one prisoner and 36 weapons seized. Photographs show a soldier holding a small child captioned as an orphan of Viet Cong killings, relief goods handed out, enemy dead, captured arms, a prisoner and a visit by the corps commander. The sheet joins an enemy casualty count to a child's image and a rhetorical question about guilt.
