Official Station, U.S. Truck Conservation Corps: Pledge to keep 'em fit to keep 'em rolling
Pledge card for truck repair shops, framed by a column of stars and a red border, with blanks for name, address, signature and date. The text frames maintenance as 'patriotic duty' and 'a direct help to victory'. The tell is glittering generalities: virtue words carry the ask, and the stars and red-and-blue print borrow national symbols.

Text on the object
OFFICIAL STATION U.S. TRUCK CONSERVATION CORPS OFFICE OF DEFENSE TRANSPORTATION Pledge To Keep 'em Fit to Keep 'em Rolling Realizing that motor truck transportation is vital to our war production as well as to our civil economy; realizing that the existing supply of trucks, truck units, and tires is all but irreplaceable, and that every extra mile that each can be made to serve in safety is a direct help to victory— WE HEREBY PLEDGE that we will regard it as our patriotic duty to do all in our power to prolong the life of any truck, truck part or unit or tire on which we perform any maintenance work or service. We will cooperate in carrying out the preventive maintenance program outlined by the Office of Defense Transportation in its booklet, "America's Trucks . . . Keep 'em Rolling." We will see that careful inspections are made, that all adjustments or minor repairs that come within the service facilities we are equipped to give are performed promptly and efficiently, thereby doing all we can to prevent major repairs with consequent waste of parts, materials, and tires.
