On November 2, Their Imperial Majesties will celebrate the 28th anniversary of Their Coronation. During this time, Ethiopia has regained her independence and emerged into the modern world as a progressive nation. His Majesty was one of the first to recognize the need for a world organization to preserve peace and foster development of new and independent states. To this end he dispatched troops to the United Nations force in Korea and has been a staunch supporter of all U. N. action to guarantee peace and prosperity. Under his aegis, education has been in the forefront of Ethiopia's march of progress. At the same time, His Majesty has built a strong defense system so that Ethiopia's freedom and independence will remain intact.
