Sinn Féin 'Éire' propaganda stamps (pair, 1907)
A pair of postage-stamp-sized labels carry a Celtic cross with interlace panels and shamrocks, the word ÉIRE (Ireland) across the cross arms, in green and black with perforated edges. The tell is the form: the sign of a sovereign state's post is borrowed for a movement that had no post of its own, so the label asserts statehood by looking like it.
