Content note: Wartime US poster in Spanish depicting its subject as a dehumanised, animal-like caricature. This object is shown as it was published. Why
El Nuevo Orden... del Eje [The New Order... of the Axis]
A Spanish-language poster shows a hooded, bestial profile head with a monocle, bared teeth and dripping saliva above a red swastika, under the words 'The New Order... of the Axis'. The tell is the caricature: the Axis programme is characterised by a dehumanised face rather than by any argument.
