'Greed', illustration from Coin's Financial School
Full-page illustration titled 'Greed' (signed Mayer) from W. H. Harvey's free-silver pamphlet Coin's Financial School (Chicago, 1894), widely circulated in the 1896 silver campaign: a gaunt, wild-eyed seated man clutches money bags over a pile of coins. Harvey's pamphlet staged a fictional lecture series by a boy, 'Coin', arguing for 16-to-1 bimetallism; opponents answered it with many replies in 1895-96.
