Education for Freedom No. 18 poster (English, Manila)
A square photo poster, 'Supplement to Free World', Volume 8 No. 4, April 1959, headed 'Education for Freedom'. Photographs of a kindergarten, an elementary classroom with a film projector, a high-school laboratory and sewing room, and a college laboratory with an instructor and international students are each captioned by school level. Two young men with books stand at right. A credo and slogan describe a liberal education as an American democratic heritage. The tell is glittering generalities: 'freedom', 'right to knowledge' and 'democracy' are attached to the American school system.
