Eux aussi achètent des OBLIGATIONS de la VICTOIRE Ce tableau est une reproduction d'une peinture originale de l'armée canadienne. Il représente notre infanterie nettoyant une place forte allemande détruite par notre artillerie. Les croquis qui ont servi de base au tableau ont été dessinés sur place durant l'action par le Major C. F. Comfort, peintre officiel de guerre de l'armée canadienne qui, par la suite, les a incorporés dans cette peinture à l'huile.
They too are buying Victory Bonds. This picture is a reproduction of an original painting of the Canadian Army. It shows our infantry clearing a German stronghold destroyed by our artillery. The sketches that served as the basis for the picture were drawn on the spot during the action by Major C. F. Comfort, official war artist of the Canadian Army, who subsequently incorporated them into this oil painting.
The small-print caption is at the limit of legibility in the 960 px copy (the source file is 640 px wide); reading checked by enlargement.
