理想は平和の力 (Ideals are a power for peace) (Japanese poster distributed in Asia)
Japanese edition of the student-exchange photo poster. Photographs show a student with law books, a woman doctor and an infant, a researcher in a greenhouse, a violinist and pianist, and a Japanese exchange student from Yaeyama working with chemistry apparatus. The text says free nations share knowledge and resources and that exchange students return with respect for democratic life. The tell is glittering-generalities, with a named exchange student as testimonial.

Ideals are a power for peace Government and administration: students learn the basic principles of law and international treaties. The nations of the free world are building a peaceful world by sharing knowledge and economic resources. Under the American international student exchange programme, American citizens study at foreign universities while many students from seventy countries study at American schools. Through this unceasing student exchange the free exchange of ideals is stimulated, and with it the barriers of misunderstanding and isolation are resolved. These students return home with deep respect for the people of neighbouring countries and respect for the basic principles that bring a free, democratic life. Health and welfare: they learn the newest medical methods and study in practice at famous hospitals. Science and industry: they conduct experiments to obtain hardy plant strains and better farming methods. Culture: they continue the study of art and music and study the cultural customs of each foreign country. Mr. Ohama Nagayoshi, from Yaeyama, studied chemistry for two years at the University of New Mexico.
