Content note: Wartime front page that labels opposing deputies 'traitors of Italy' and calls on the country to rise against them. This object is shown as it was published. Why
Il Popolo d'Italia, 11 December 1915: 'L'ultimo conato parecchista alla Camera' (front page, upper half)
Upper half of the front page of Il Popolo d'Italia, the day after a sitting of the Chamber of Deputies, under the banner 'L'ultimo conato parecchista alla Camera' and the call 'Il Paese insorga contro i traditori d'Italia'. 'Parecchista' is a loaded label for deputies who had followed Giolitti's neutralist line, and 'traditori d'Italia' names them traitors. The masthead carries two epigraphs credited to Blanqui and to Napoleon as authorities for its line.

Masthead, epigraphs, the two-line banner and the column headings are transcribed; the subscription-rates table, the price lines and the body columns are too small or not hosted. 'Conato' is rendered 'effort'; the original word carries the sense of a strained, last-ditch attempt. The file ends partway down the page.
