Content note: Cartoon showing a sailor's death at sea as a winged angel. This object is shown as it was published. Why
Lubbers don't live! Oh pause in memory of 'Mac' White
Navy training-aid cartoon sheet under a 'Lubbers Don't Live!' banner. A sailor lights a cigarette on a darkened ship at night, a submarine periscope surfaces nearby, and the sailor then appears as a winged angel. The tell is fear-appeal told as a joking rhyme, with the death shown as a cartoon.
