Lubbers Don't Live! A nicotine hound from the farm, 1943 US poster: Navy training sheet in verse

Lubbers Don't Live! A nicotine hound from the farm

Navy training sheet in verse: a sailor smokes after taps, sparks from his cigarette fall on a sleeper's bunk, and in the last panel the smoker is shown in a hammock above a fire as the alarm sounds. A yellow 'Lubbers Don't Live!' banner runs across the middle. The fear-appeal is comic: smoking in bed starts a shipboard fire.
