閩浙贛省蘇維埃銀行壹圓 (Fujian-Zhejiang-Jiangxi Soviet Bank, one-yuan note, 1933)
Obverse (top) and reverse (bottom) of a one-yuan note of a Soviet-area bank in south-east China: the obverse centres on a red flag with a star between two 'one yuan' panels under the bank's name, stamped with a round bank seal; the reverse is a text of assurance about silver reserves and convertibility and a penalty for forgery, signed by the bank manager. The tell is the borrowed emblem: the revolutionary government's flag is placed where a note would carry a portrait or arms, next to a text asserting full reserves.
