AMERICAN OFFICERS AN MEN IN SOUTH VIETNAM The U.S. Government will be defeated in its aggressive war against South Vietnam because : - It is completely unjust and is ceaselessly condemned and opposed by progressive mankind as well as by the American people. - The South Vietnamese people, pursuing a just cause, are determined to fight to the last for their independence, democracy, peace and neutrality. They enjoy the wholehearted support of the peace-loving peoples throughout the world. - With each passing day, more servicemen in the South Vietnamese puppet army realize that their country is being invaded by the U.S.A., and bringing with them their arms, desert in order to join the revolutionary ranks or turn their guns against the U.S. imperialists and their traitarous stooges. - Many American officers and men have begun to understand that they have not come to South Vietnam to fight for their own interests but to die as cannon - fodder for U.S. arms dealers. They are tired of this U.S. aggressive war and are opposing it. We appeal to you to: - DEMAND PEACE IN VIETNAM AND YOUR OWN REPATRATION TO YOUR FAMILIES. - DEMAND THAT THE U.S. GOVERNMENT WITHDRAW ALL AMERICAN TROOPS AND ARMS FROM SOUTH VIETNAM, AND LET THE VIETNAMESE PEOPLE SETTLE THEIR OWN INTERNAL AFFAIRS THEMSELVES. - REFUSE TO OBEY ALL ORDERS TO CARRY OUT MOPPING-UP OPERATIONS, TO KILL THE VIETNAMESE PEOPLE OR ATTACK THE VIETNAMESE PEOPLE'S ARMED FORCES. - SYMPATHIZE WITH AND SUPPORT THE JUST STRUGGLE OF THE SOUTH VIETNAM PEOPLE.
