Pražané! (Praguers!): leaflet from the first days of the 1968 occupation
A single-page Czech leaflet headed 'Praguers!' that calls on readers to 'hold out, inform, ... wait for our president' and protest, and marks 'the 4th day of our fight for the freedom of our people, for human socialism'. It lists 1918, 1938, 1948 and 1968 as the nation's years ending in an eight, promises that 'truth will prevail', and calls 'traitors of the nation, bearers of personal power' unfit for the road to socialism.

PRAŽANÉ! VYDRŽET - INFORMOVAT - BOJUJEME S ČASEM! - ČEKÁME NA NAŠEHO PRESIDENTA - ČEKÁME, ALE NESPÍME - PROTESTUJEME! Začal 4. den našeho boje za svobodu našeho lidu, za lidský socialismus, za příklad naší země, našeho lidu, všem těm, kteří nám dnes v celém světě nedrží jenom palce, ale spolu s námi svými prostředky bojují. 1918 1938 1948 1968 Historická léta našeho národa končila osmičkou. Dokážeme, že rok 1968 bude zapsán zlatým písmem v dějinách našich národů, v dějinách celého světa. Zrádci národa, nositelé osobní moci, nemají místo v naší cestě k socialismu. Pražané — říkejte vojákům Varšavské smlouvy: prohlubuje se propast mezi našimi národy stejně rychle, jako se státní představitelé agresorů snaží zvyšovat hromady důvodů pro prodlužování jednání v Radě bezpečnosti a jednání s presidentem naší republiky. PRAVDA ZVÍTĚZÍ! ZNÁTE NÁS! VĚŘTE NÁM! ZVÍTĚZÍME!
PRAGUERS! HOLD OUT - INFORM - WE ARE FIGHTING AGAINST TIME! - WE WAIT FOR OUR PRESIDENT - WE WAIT, BUT WE DO NOT SLEEP - WE PROTEST! The 4th day has begun of our fight for the freedom of our people, for human socialism, for the example of our country, our people, for all those who around the world today not only keep their fingers crossed for us but fight together with us by their own means. 1918 1938 1948 1968 The historic years of our nation ended in an eight. We shall prove that the year 1968 will be written in golden letters in the history of our nations, in the history of the whole world. Traitors of the nation, bearers of personal power, have no place on our road to socialism. Praguers, tell the soldiers of the Warsaw Pact: the gulf between our nations is deepening as fast as the state representatives of the aggressors try to raise heaps of reasons for prolonging the negotiations in the Security Council and the negotiations with the president of our republic. TRUTH WILL PREVAIL! KNOW US! BELIEVE US! WE SHALL WIN!
