The Promised Feast (Puck centerfold, 8 August 1900)
Chromolithograph by J. S. Pughe in Puck, 8 August 1900 (v. 47, no. 1222, centerfold). A large smiling cook whose napkin ears read 'Labor Trust' sits with knife and fork while McKinley, at left, and Bryan, at right, each hold out a plate of tiny top-hatted men under a sign 'Commercial Trusts'. The recorded caption reads 'Both candidates promise to serve up the little trusts to the big one.' The two candidates are drawn as mirror images, so any difference between their trust positions is left out of the frame.
