Replacing these losses boils down to you

Army home-front poster with three halftone photographs of wrecked equipment: a truck half-sunk in surf beside an LST, a burning vehicle, and a damaged tank. Text says a shortage of forgings and castings threatens a truck shortage, and ends 'Stay on the job, finish the job'. The fear-appeal is the pictured losses; the headline addresses 'YOU' directly.

Boils Down To YOU

U. S. ARMY OFFICIAL POSTER

The bones, the muscles, the guts of this 2½-ton truck are all forgings and castings . . . engine block, axles, gear case, crankshaft, practically every part of it!

Today, a shortage of castings and forgings—added to war losses—threatens to cause a critical shortage of trucks. Untold tons of forgings and castings are needed now.

Other untold tons of forgings and castings are needed for tank replacements, bulldozers, artillery, engineering equipment. It's your chance to do a great job for America!
