10th Anniversary, Republic of the Philippines (English poster distributed in Manila)
A green and yellow poster marking ten years of the Republic of the Philippines, 4 July 1946 to 4 July 1956. Three clasped hands hold a wrench, a hoe and a sheaf of wheat between two banners reading 'Positive Nationalism'. The tell is glittering generalities: 'positive nationalism' is left undefined and attached to the symbols of industry and farming, with workers' tools used to show ordinary labour.
