The Tennessee Valley Authority, Free World poster (English poster distributed in Manila)
A large sheet on the Tennessee Valley Authority with photographs of a dam and powerhouse, an industrial plant, a grain harvest, a river barge under a bridge and generator housings. The text says three decades with TVA 'have meant more food, shelter and clothing for all' and that the river, 'once wasted and destructive', now works 24 hours a day. A closing paragraph lists TVA's functions: dams and power plants, fertilizers, navigation and flood control. The tell is glittering-generalities: 'for all' is asserted, not measured.

Text on the object
The TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY Three decades with TVA have meant more food, shelter and clothing for all. The waters of America's fourth largest river, once wasted and destructive beyond human count, now work--24 hours a day--to bring economic and social growth to millions of people. TVA was created to operate dams and power plants on the Tennessee River system, to develop new types of fertilizers, to improve navigation on the river system, and to maintain flood control.
