NO. 107 1,364 WERE MURDERED BY THE GERMANS 703 SAVED OUT OF TOTAL OF 2,067; MANY WOMEN AMONG DEAD FEW OF FIRST CLASS PASSENGERS SAVED SEVERAL PROMINENT AMERICANS PERISHED UNITED STATES ASKS GERMANY FOR REPORT SAY SHIP'S OFFICERS BEHAVED SPLENDIDLY GERMANY KNOWS NO LAW OF GOD OR MAN POWERS OF HELL ARE ARRAYED WITH HUNS Savages Gloat Over Success in Killing 1,500 Non-Combatants STATED THAT ITALY HAS DECLARED WAR GERMANS SENT DOWN ANOTHER TRAWLER [Copenhagen dispatch quoted:] "Berlin papers print the news of the sinking of the Lusitania in colossal type and hail the successful torpedoing of the ship as a new triumph for Germany's naval policy. The general impression is that Britain has got what she deserves."
