Wanted: information on over 1300 men missing in action

A poster styled as a Wild West wanted notice, with torn paper edges and slab lettering, seeks information on "over 1300 men missing in action and those assumed captured". Body text tells the case of one Navy pilot photographed in North Vietnamese custody and states that the list supplied by North Vietnam is "inaccurate and incomplete". A photograph and the line "You are public opinion" ask the viewer to press for an accounting.

WANTED
Information leading to the accounting of
OVER 1300 MEN
MISSING IN ACTION
&
THOSE ASSUMED CAPTURED

Lt. Dodge, a navy pilot, was shot down over North Vietnam. A photograph of Lt. Dodge being escorted by North Vietnamese first appeared in the Paris Match in 1967. His name has always accompanied his picture which has appeared on the cover of Life magazine and on the cover of over five million VIVA brochures. One place his name does not appear, is on the so-called "complete" list of Prisoners of War that North Vietnam has given our government. He is only one of the many men of whom there is proof of capture, whose names do not appear living or dead on the list.

NORTH VIETNAM PROMISED TO RELEASE ALL PRISONERS OF WAR HELD IN SOUTHEAST ASIA AND TO SUPPLY A LIST OF THESE MEN IMMEDIATELY UPON THE SIGNING OF THE PEACE TREATY. THE LIST THEY SUPPLIED IS BOTH INACCURATE AND INCOMPLETE.

North Vietnam and her allies must know that the eyes of every person of good conscience throughout the world are upon them. The power of public opinion must be mustered, as never before in history, to demand that the terms of the Peace Treaty are complied with and the Missing in Action are identified and ALL our Prisoners of War are returned.
