Youths!
A portrait sheet headed 'Youths!' says that, out of resentment at Viet Cong destruction, many young men in named hamlets of Gia Rai and Vinh Loi districts in Bac Lieu have resolved to join the armed Rural Construction Youth to protect their families. Photographs show the young men being taught to use weapons by Rural Construction cadres and Bac Lieu Youth Service staff, followed by volleyball and a 3,000-metre race. The tell is the pairing of weapons drill with sport and a named winner, offering enlistment as local, communal and ordinary.

Vì phẫn uất trước sự phá hoại của Việt Cộng, rất nhiều thanh niên thuộc các ấp đời mới Xóm Lớn, Xóm Đạo, xã Vĩnh Mỹ, Quận Giá Rai và các ấp Cái Tràm, Láng Giài, xã Hòa Bình, Quận Vĩnh Lợi, Bạc Liêu, cương quyết gia nhập đoàn THANH NIÊN XÂY DỰNG NÔNG THÔN VÕ TRANG để bảo vệ bà con cô bác trong ấp của mình. Thanh niên Xây Dựng Nông Thôn võ trang thuộc ấp đời mới Xóm Đạo, Xã Vĩnh Mỹ, đang chăm chú học hỏi cách xử dụng vũ khí do cán bộ Xây Dựng Nông Thôn và nhân viên Ty Thanh Niên Bạc Liêu hướng dẫn. YOUTHS! Out of anger at the destruction by the Viet Cong, very many young people from the new-life hamlets of Xom Lon and Xom Dao, Vinh My village, Gia Rai District, and the hamlets of Cai Tram and Lang Giai, Hoa Binh village, Vinh Loi District, Bac Lieu, are determined to join the ARMED RURAL CONSTRUCTION YOUTH to protect their relatives and neighbours in their own hamlet. Armed Rural Construction youths of the new-life hamlet of Xom Dao, Vinh My village, are attentively learning how to use weapons, taught by Rural Construction cadres and staff of the Bac Lieu Youth Service. Lively sports events are regularly organised by the Bac Lieu Youth Service, such as volleyball and running... Mr. Bui Van Long won the 3,000-metre race. SP-2113
