Aggression From the North poster, PPB-330 (English, Manila)

An English map-and-photograph poster arguing that the war in South Vietnam is an invasion from the North. A map shows infiltration arrows from Hanoi, and photographs show an attack scene with casualties, a derailed train, a defector speaking and captured arms. The tell is card-stacking: selected photographs are labelled conclusive evidence, with fear-appeal in the civilian-casualty images and testimonial in the defector's confessions.

AGGRESSION FROM THE NORTH

Communists unleash carefully planned program of concealed war against South Viet-Nam

Since 1959 nearly 37,000 highly-trained Communist Viet Cong soldiers have infiltrated South Viet-Nam (see map) to wage a brutal campaign of terror and subversion against a peaceful nation. At the request of South Viet-Nam, the United States has provided military aid and economic support in this defensive struggle to maintain freedom and security.

Conclusive evidence of aggression:

...typical Viet Cong attacks against civilian population

...voluntary confessions made by defecting Communist soldiers

...captured cargo ship laden with Communist arms and ammunition
