British Aircraft Carriers Guard the Seas
A photograph of a British aircraft carrier at sea with a biplane in flight, over a text explaining what carrier aircraft do for convoys. It is an explanatory image-and-text sheet; the closest honest technique fit is glittering generalities, from the 'For Freedom' emblem and the 'guard the seas' framing, with no specific claim to test.

Text on the object
BRITISH AIRCRAFT CARRIERS GUARD THE SEAS AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER is a floating aerodrome. Planes can take off from its deck and fly many miles in search of enemy shipping or submarines, thus helping to protect our convoys. These planes are the eyes of the Navy and often help to rescue survivors from torpedoed merchant ships by reporting the exact position of a raft to a nearby naval vessel. [emblem:] FOR FREEDOM [sheet mark:] E.E.6.
