"Ride the Chollima, run higher and faster!": factory wall poster, North Korea (photographed 2016)
A tall wall poster inside a factory shows a man in a white scarf, fist raised, riding a winged white horse that rises from a mass of machinery, with a torch in its hoof. The slogan reads 'Riding the Chollima, let us run higher and faster!' (the Chollima is a mythical winged horse used since 1956 as the symbol of rapid production campaigns). The tell: the myth image and the comparative 'higher, faster' stand in for any stated output target, and the worker is shown as part of an already surging movement.
