Welcome to free Eritrea: painted flag sign on a street corner in Asmara

Welcome to free Eritrea: painted flag sign on a street corner in Asmara

A painted panel on a stone wall in central Asmara shows the Eritrean flag over a rising sun, with the English words 'Welcome to free Eritrea' in black below. The slogan ties the country's name to the word 'free', a positive abstraction that the sign does not define.
