La primera unidad móvil para demostraciones de "Alimentos para la Paz", llegó a San Salvador en tránsito a Lima, Perú, donde será entregada al gobierno de aquel país, como obsequio de la Fundación Americana para la Lucha Contra el Hambre, con sede en Washington.
El vehículo partió de la capital norteamericana hacia la Ciudad de México. Luego continuó su camino hacia el Sur, pasando por diez países en su larga ruta hacia el Perú.
