Narrow two-sided leaflet. One side is a photograph of a young man writing at a table, headed 'Hoi Chanh member Tran Van Vinh'; the other is a handwritten message in his name saying he returned to the government on 26 August 1970 at Hoa Long, was well received, and calls on his unit to follow. The tell: a named, pictured returnee speaks in his own handwriting to men of his former unit.

Tôi đã được chánh-quyền tiếp đón nồng-hậu, đối xử tử-tế. Nay tôi kêu gọi các anh em cùng đơn-vị hãy ra hồi-chánh để khỏi bị hy-sinh oan-uổng cho chủ-nghĩa mơ-hồ của Cộng-Sản. [Side 1] My name is Le Vinh, alias Tran Van Vinh, of unit C41. I rallied to the government of the Republic of Vietnam on 26 August 1970 at Hoa Long. I was received warmly by the authorities and treated kindly. Now I call on my brothers in the same unit to rally so as not to be sacrificed in vain for the vague doctrine of the Communists. 27 August 1970 [signature] [Side 2] HOI CHANH MEMBER (RETURNEE) TRAN VAN VINH [photograph of a man writing at a table] ATF-031-70.
Both sides read from the AWM scans. The AWM identification strips ('AUSTRALIAN WAR MEMORIAL' and the accession number) at the foot of each scan are part of the scan and are omitted. The hosted image places the two sides of the leaflet one above the other (or side by side), joined by FRAME from AWM's two scans of the same object.
