[Rhade/Ede text, not transcribed] The agricultural work that the Darlac Provincial Agriculture Service completed in May 1966 comprises 3 main items: AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION: The Agriculture Service trained 100 farmers in cultivation and carried out 40 of 80 planned demonstrations of model methods. AGRICULTURAL SERVICE: The Service issued seed to farmers in order to expand agriculture in May: 3,500 kilos of rice seed; 2,400 kilos of peanuts; 300 kilos of maize and vegetable seed. MONTAGNARD FARMING AND LIVESTOCK: 120 Montagnard farmers were trained by the Service in 2 courses in April and May 1966 in methods of cultivation and animal husbandry.
