[Captions] The traitors are busy selling off the country; those with power are drunk on pleasure; the people live in hunger and suffering; the rank-and-file soldiers wander amid cold and death. [Reverse] Today, as South Korea enters its third New Year since the war, the land has become a living hell wrapped in the tears and sighs of a much-wronged people. Forced by the American swine and the Syngman Rhee traitors, many young men are dragged to the battlefield and die every day, while the people struggle in cruel hunger and disease. Yet the American robbers, who mean in the end to swallow our fatherland, and their henchmen, the Syngman Rhee traitors, are using every [unclear] scheme to extend the war. Officers and men of the Rhee puppet army! Compatriot brothers and sisters of the southern half! Without beating down these vicious enemies there can be no unification and independence of the fatherland and no freedom and happiness of our people. For the honour of our nation, for your own [survival, printed as 쌍존; probably 생존], all of you, rise in the national-salvation struggle against the American aggressors and the Rhee traitors!
