Little Americans, Do Your Bit: Eat Oatmeal, Corn Meal Mush, Hominy
A smiling fair-haired child in white salutes inside a blue roundel, a bowl of cereal with a spoon at upper left, over the headline 'Little Americans Do your bit'. The text lists corn cereals and rice with milk and asks children to save wheat for soldiers and to leave nothing on the plate. The tell is transfer: the military salute and the phrase 'do your bit' lend the soldier's duty to a bowl of porridge.
