New Province, New Hope

TỈNH MỚI HY VỌNG MỚI Đáp ứng nguyện vọng nhân dân, Chính phủ vừa ban hành sắc lệnh cho tái lập tỉnh Sa-Đéc. Giờ đây, hơn bao giờ hết, dân chúng quyết tâm đánh bại Việt Cộng và góp tay xây dựng lại "Tỉnh nhà" Trong 3 ngày đêm dân chúng đã hân hoan tổ chức lễ khánh thành và bày tỏ quyết tâm gia tăng nỗ lực vào việc xây dựng thanh bình, tự do và thịnh vượng chung của đất nước. Thiếu Tướng Tổng Ủy Viên Xây Dựng đại diện Thiếu Tướng Chủ Tịch U.B.H.P.T.U. trao ấn tín cho Thiếu Tá Lê Thọ Trung tân Tỉnh Trưởng Sa-Đéc. Ấn tín này có thể tượng trưng cho niềm hy vọng mới cho nhân dân Sa-Đéc. Thiếu Tướng Tổng Ủy Viên Xây Dựng đang ngỏ lời cùng đồng bào trong buổi lễ. Liên tiếp trong 3 ngày đêm dân chúng hân hoan đón mừng ngày tái lập tỉnh với những cuộc vui như: xe hoa, cộ đèn, đua xuồng, ghe, bóng tròn v.v... Đây là một trong nhiều cộ hoa đã trúng giải nhất. Tỉnh Sa-Đéc từ nay sẽ là nơi mà Chánh quyền V.N.C.H. nhắm mọi nỗ lực để thực hiện công cuộc xây dựng và chiến thắng Cộng Sản. SP-1703
NEW PROVINCE NEW HOPE In response to the people's wishes, the Government has just promulgated a decree re-establishing Sa-Dec province. Now, more than ever, the people are determined to defeat the Viet Cong and help rebuild their "home province." For 3 days and nights the people joyfully held an inauguration ceremony and expressed their determination to increase their efforts in building peace, freedom and common prosperity for the country. The Major General, Commissioner-General for Reconstruction, representing the Major General, Chairman of the Central Executive Committee [U.B.H.P.T.U.], hands the seal to Major Le Tho Trung, the new Sa-Dec Province Chief. This seal may symbolise new hope for the people of Sa-Dec. The Major General, Commissioner-General for Reconstruction, addressing the compatriots during the ceremony. For 3 days and nights in a row the people joyfully celebrated the re-establishment of the province with entertainments such as flower floats, lantern floats, canoe and boat races, football and so on... This is one of the many flower floats that won first prize. From now on Sa-Dec province will be the place where the Government of the Republic of Vietnam aims every effort to carry out construction and victory over the Communists. SP-1703
