No. 1 Rural-construction cadres working with zeal on fencing the perimeter of the new-life hamlet to protect the hamlet and isolate the Viet Cong. Compatriots in the new-life hamlets attend in large numbers to elect the hamlet rural-construction committee and the people's rural-construction sub-groups. A female rural-construction cadre goes right to the private homes in the new-life hamlet to visit and hand out books and newspapers to the compatriots.
