Revolutionary Weekly

The Yankee Capitalist Press

We have before us bourgeois newspapers of New York, Michigan, Indiana, Massachusetts, Virginia, Texas and other states, in which they editorially take up the question that has come to be called the Mexican-American one, and in all of them nothing else is seen than the wish that Mexico make peace so that Yankee banditry can return to exploit that country.

Although the Republican newspapers blame Wilson for the failure to recognise the assassin Huerta, the papers that are organs of the Rooseveltian party and the Democrats hold a different opinion, the former declaring that the Americans in Mexico have lost much through the lack of protection from both governments, that of Taft and that of Wilson, and the latter, that the only instigator of the anti-American demonstrations in Mexico is Huerta himself.
