Sub spotted, let 'em have it! Lend a hand, enlist in your Navy today
Navy recruiting poster: sailors in foul-weather gear heave a depth charge marked 'TNT' toward the sea, under 'Sub spotted, let 'em have it!' and 'Lend a hand, enlist in your Navy today'. The dramatic action scene ties enlistment to a vivid combat moment; the technique is faint, an appeal to action and duty with no specific claim.
