The Family of Man poster No. 9, 1958 US poster: A collage of about a dozen black-and-white photographs of people at work

The Family of Man poster No. 9 (English poster distributed in Manila)

A collage of about a dozen black-and-white photographs of people at work, play and rest in many places, among them a child on sand, a couple dancing, mourners in the rain, a flute player and a woman in a hat. Script text calls it 'The story of man wherever he may be' and 'The greatest photographic show on earth'. The tell is glittering-generalities: broad, positive words about shared humanity, with ordinary people as the subject.
