This Is Your Flag (Vietnamese-language poster distributed in Vietnam)
A Vietnamese-language folded sheet. Left, a yellow flag with three red stripes under the words 'This is the national flag of Vietnam'. Right, a red flag with a yellow star crossed out by blue brush strokes under 'This is not'. Centre, a drawing of a crowd at a flagpole and a text on the meaning of the flag. The tell is transfer, attaching blood, loyalty and independence to one flag, with name-calling on the other as 'the Communist flag'.

Text on the object
[handwritten, lower right:] 306-PPA-193A
THIS IS THE NATIONAL FLAG OF VIETNAM THIS IS NOT Our national flag is raised, fluttering in the wind... It is the symbol of the Independence of Vietnam, the day the whole people threw off the yoke of slavery: celebrating 8 March 1949. THE MEANING OF OUR NATIONAL FLAG Remember the meaning of our flag's colours. Red symbolises the deep-red blood and the courage that the people of the three regions as one have repeatedly shown; yellow is the symbol of the South, which has many times surged to rise toward lofty aims and make a name for itself across the four seas and five continents. The national flag is the symbol of our country and of our freedom. Be proud of our flag, bring glory to it, for the blood of the nation's heroes since ancient times was shed to win autonomy for the old Viet land, from Bach-Dang, Me-Linh to Lam-Son and Phu-Quoc. Be devoted to our flag and protect it! Never let any other flag take its place of honour over the rivers and mountains of Vietnam! Long live the national flag of Vietnam! May it flutter forever over this land until heaven and earth end. UNDER THE COMMUNIST FLAG The Communist flag has been seen in our country. It tramples everything we respect and hold dear! Down with the Communist flag! We have only one flag, the national flag of Vietnam! [handwritten:] 306-PPA-193A
