British Troops in Battle Manoeuvres (For Freedom series, E.B.6)
A photograph shows infantry climbing a slope beside Bren gun carriers, with a shell burst behind them, over a short caption on realistic training. The tell for transfer is the Union Jack device and the 'For Freedom' label beneath a battlefield image, which attach the national flag and a cause to a training exercise; the caption itself is informational.

Text on the object
E.B.6 BRITISH TROOPS IN BATTLE MANŒUVRES FOR FREEDOM THE TRAINING OF BRITISH TROOPS is as tough and realistic as possible. Here we see infantry and Bren gun carriers of the Royal Berkshire Regiment carrying out an advance under fire. Exercises such as these help to accustom troops to battlefield conditions.
