Valley Bandillo, USIS Tuguegarao, No. 6, front page (Tuguegarao, Cagayan, January-February 1953)
Front page of a United States Information Service newsletter for the Cagayan Valley, with a masthead showing the U.S. and Philippine flags. Lead items report a Philippine Army seminar on communism, a tractor sent from Boys Town, Nebraska, a Smith-Mundt grantee, and magazine supplies for reading centers. The tell is testimonial: a bishop is quoted tying farm income to the fight against communism, and the supply of U.S. magazines and gifts is credited to named American donors.
