You Can Help Bring Them Back
A Chieu Hoi poster (code SP-1932) addressed to the families and neighbours of Viet Cong fighters asks them to persuade relatives to return to the government side. Photographs of children under a thatched roof, a woman carrying rice sheaves, a crowd of waving ralliers at a centre and a school building carry captions that fathers, husbands and sons are needed at home. The appeal moves the decision from the fighter to his family, using children and farm life as its imagery.
