Armistice Day - The Free French and Their Friends Will Commemorate the Only Armistice They Recognize (New York, 11 November 1941)

A French soldier of 1918 in a Adrian helmet blows a bugle before the Arc de Triomphe and a Cross of Lorraine emblem, under 'Liberté Egalité Fraternité'; text announces a rally at Manhattan Center on 11 November 1941. The tell is the transfer of the 1919 victory parade, Clemenceau, Foch and Pershing onto the Free French cause, and the line 'the only armistice they recognize', which rejects the 1940 armistice by implication.
