Text on the object
ARMOURED CARS ARE BATTLE SPEARHEAD Godfrey Talbot, B.B.C. War Correspondent with the Eighth Army, says :— “Tanks and Infantry and Guns have stolen most of the picture in this campaign, but no one who has seen this battle and our advance can speak too highly of our Armoured Cars. They’ve travelled far, fought well, and stood the strain well, definitely proving their worth again and again in interception and outflanking movements and chasing the retreating enemy. They’ve been all the time a major part of our advancing spearheads.” B.B.C. NEWS BULLETIN, 27.11.1942 MINISTRY OF SUPPLY No. 53
