Bến-Cát bừng sáng (Ben-Cat At Dawn)
A Vietnamese-language photo sheet (code SP-790) reports that operations 'Hung Vuong 9' and 'Xay Dung 6' destroyed Communist bases in the Ho Bo woods and Long Nguyen, killed thousands of Viet Cong and 'liberated' thousands of villagers. Six photographs show a loudspeaker truck, leaflet and book distribution, relief goods from a U.S. airborne brigade, children with allied soldiers, an exhibition and the district chief meeting residents. Military claims and civic-aid images appear together; the word 'liberated' frames the operation's effect on civilians.

Đồng Bào các xã, ấp đang hân hoan đón nhận các sách báo, ấn loát phẩm, tặng phẩm cứu trợ của Chính Phủ và các nước bạn. Tặng phẩm của Lữ Đoàn 173 D Nhảy Dù gồm có 20 bao quần áo, 200 thùng dầu ăn, 100 bao gạo, 100 bao bột bắp và nhiều kẹo bánh. Các thiếu nhi đang chăm chú theo dõi và thân mật chuyện trò với các Sĩ Quan và binh sĩ các nước bạn Hoa Kỳ, Úc Đại Lợi, Tân Tây Lan vân vân... Các thiếu nhi vui mừng đến xem triển lãm, dự những buổi tổ chức văn nghệ, chiếu bóng ở các nơi vừa được giải phóng. BEN-CAT AT DAWN The operations "Hung Vuong 9" and "Xay Dung 6" have destroyed the secret bases of Ho Bo and Long Nguyen. Our army has seized many weapons and wiped out thousands of Viet Cong, and has liberated thousands of compatriots living under Viet Cong control, returning them to the national cause. The Binh Duong Psychological Warfare Information Team operating in Lai Hung village, just freed from Communist pressure by the Army of the Republic of Vietnam and friendly nations. Compatriots of the villages and hamlets joyfully receive books, newspapers, printed matter and relief gifts from the Government and friendly nations. Gifts from the 173rd Airborne Brigade include 20 sacks of clothing, 200 tins of cooking oil, 100 sacks of rice, 100 sacks of corn flour and much candy and cake. Children are attentively watching and chatting familiarly with officers and soldiers of the friendly nations the United States, Australia, New Zealand and so on... Children happily come to see the exhibition and attend entertainment sessions and film shows in the places just liberated. The District Chief and Deputy District Chief ask after and meet the people in the operation area. SP-790
