Chieu Hoi Means a New Life (Chiêu Hồi An-Xuyên)
A Chieu Hoi poster headed 'Chiêu Hồi An-Xuyên' says the An Xuyen authorities help ralliers and their families toward 'a firm life and a bright future', with photographs of a nurse giving medicine, a volleyball game, rows of huts and the Chieu Hoi Centre, and states that ralliers may stay 45 to 60 days. CHIÊU HỒI AN-XUYÊN Chánh Quyền An-Xuyên rất quan tâm và bằng đủ mọi cách giúp đỡ Hồi Chánh và gia đình họ một cách thiết thực để họ có một đời sống vững chắc và một tương lai tươi sáng. Trong thời gian thụ huấn tại Trung Tâm Chiêu-Hồi, sức khỏe Hồi Chánh luôn luôn được các bác-sĩ và y-tá chăm sóc chu đáo. Thể-thao, một trong những môn giải-trí lành mạnh dành cho Hồi Chánh tại Trung Tâm Chiêu-Hồi An-Xuyên để quên đi những ngày sống kinh-hoàng trong hàng ngũ Việt Cộng. Sau khi hoàn hương, Hồi Chánh có thể trở về nguyên quán tại các vùng an ninh hoặc cùng gia đình sống tại làng Chiêu Hồi do Chánh Quyền An-Xuyên xây cất. CHIEU HOI AN-XUYEN The An-Xuyen authorities are very concerned and, by every means, help the ralliers and their families in a practical way so that they may have a firm life and a bright future. While in training at the Chieu-Hoi Centre, the health of ralliers is always carefully looked after by doctors and nurses. Sport, one of the healthy recreations for ralliers at the An-Xuyen Chieu-Hoi Centre, to forget the terrifying days lived in the Viet Cong ranks. After completing their return [to the national cause], ralliers may go back to their native places in secure areas or live with their families in the Chieu Hoi village built by the An-Xuyen authorities. The An-Xuyen Chieu-Hoi Centre, a cool, convenient place for ralliers to stay temporarily for 45 to 60 days.
